Explaining PBE with Canva and Mote
Canva PBE Infographic
On the left is an infographic that I created using Canva to explain the six principles of Place Based Education.
Place Based Education immerses students in different learning experiences within their community.
Canva has a vast assortment of templates for educators to create presentations, infographics, and more.
Creating this infographic allowed me to condense this information and make it clear and visually appealing for students.
Students will likely remember more and pay more attention when the information is presented in a way that is easy to take in.
Mote Audio
Using the Google Chrome extension, Mote, I recorded audio of me reading my infographic, which I included on this page.
Mote is a tool that helps promote accessibility for all students.
Recording audio of the information on my infographic can help me push that information out to all students and it is a great tool that teachers can use to reach all students.
This connects to the Universal Design for Learning which is the idea that the curriculum should be created in a way that accommodates all students and their educational needs.
