What is a PLN and why is it valuable?
A PLN, or a personal learning network, is a network of educators to draw ideas and resources from and to share your own ideas and resources with.
The value of a PLN is having access to a vast amount of great resources for education. It can be difficult to find resources, so a strong PLN allows teachers to branch out and make connections all over the world. A PLN can help educators grow and create a collection of amazing ideas and resources to use in the classroom. Teachers are always learning too, and a personal learning network promotes constant growth of education related skills and knowledge that are useful in the classroom.

I like to watch videos from teachers on YouTube to find ideas and to get insight into what teaching is like! The teachers often talk about their own unique experiences, which I find extremely beneficial and helpful.

This year, there was an election for Wisconsin State Superintendent.
I had the opportunity to join online Zoom meetings where both candidates were interviewed.
They both talked about their websites, so I was able to look at them to learn more about them and their stances.
This is something that could directly impact me as a teacher, so it was a unique and great opportunity to listen to both candidates.
I love following teachers on Instagram because they share so many great ideas and resources!
