My name is Riley Kavanaugh and I am a Senior in college. From a young age, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher in my future, and my passion for education continued to grow throughout my childhood. I love working with kids and I feel that being an educator is what I am meant to do with my life. I hope that as a teacher, I can make a positive impact on my students and inspire them to be the best version of themselves.
Where I Grew Up
Dixon, Illinois
Dixon Arch
Dixon High School
Dixon, Illinois is the town I grew up in and lived in my entire life. Dixon is located in northern Illinois about two hours west of Chicago, Illinois. In 2020, I graduated from Dixon High school.
One of my favorite things about growing up in Dixon is attending the annual "Petunia Festival" each summer. This festival lasts for about a week and features a carnival, live music, food, and more.
During high school I was a member of my schools bowling team. I was "Rookie of the Year" as a freshman, and team captain and MVP as a senior.
Interests and Hobbies
I have many interests and hobbies including baseball, reading, art, and exploring nature which are all pictured here. I also love listening to podcasts, baking, traveling, bowling, and spending time with my family.
