My name is Michaela, I am 25 years old and from New Zealand. I am currently studying psychology here in Maastricht, and am a big lover of sport, especially football.
Sport has always been a massive part of my life, and I have always been involved in many different kinds of sports, up until I was 12, where I chose to finally stick with football.
This led me to studying sports science, and pursuing different careers in coaching, personal training and sports science, before deciding to make the move half-way across the world for some new challenges.
I have always had a passion for helping those around me, and my experiences in sport helped me realise how important it is for young people to stay active. Kids can learn so many important life skills from sport, including team work, resilience and communication that they can carry through their life, while having lots of fun and making friends.
