Phase I (Orientation) [For Students and Learning Coaches]
Presents a series of videos, audios, and downloadable files that provide:
An overview of your new school
A look at the student experience (i.e., the typical daily workload, what is expected of a student to be in good standing with the school, our grading scale, enrichment opportunities, and incentives for positive student behavior and engagement in school)
An introduction to the Learning Coach role, including audios and videos that capture the thoughts of a few of our experienced Learning Coaches along with your Learning Coach Support team's input. (This part of Phase I is intended for Learning Coaches only.)
A review of the student's school materials and shipping timeframes.
Phase II (Canvas Prep and Training) [For Students and Learning Coaches]
Prepares students and Learning Coaches to use Canvas. It includes:
A video introduction to our learning platform (the online platform used for learning, for monitoring student progress, etc.)
Instructions to switch from a mobile phone to a computer or large tablet to continue onboarding, and instructions for using the required browser. (Mobile phone instructions are provided so you can begin the training if the laptop has not arrived.)
Canvas log in instructions for the student.
Instructions to navigate to the Canvas training course to learn about the learning platform
Instructions to notify teachers that the student's training is complete
Instructions for the Learning Coach to create and log in to the Canvas Observer (i.e., parent) account
Extended Canvas training for Learning Coaches.
Phase III (Detailed Learning Coach Training) [Specifically for Learning Coaches]
Provides a References and Resources section with links, downloadable files (including a student-only school calendar), and other resources often needed by Learning Coaches during and after onboarding.

Links Learning Coaches to Learning Coach Corner, the comprehensive training course supplement and year-round resource for Learning Coaches.
Knowledge Checkpoints are inserted throughout each phase to check for understanding. Responses are scored automatically, and you have an opportunity to review anything that you missed or misunderstood.
