A Daedalus Convoy Story

A Story About Life in the Convoy

Another chapter, another opportunity to develop stories. In this case, we have a unique space-travel science fiction environment to work with. By population, the Daedalus Convoy is a village traveling through space for 30 years. Ship-by-ship, however, the Daedalus Convoy is an amalgamation of small communities of 75 people. Your story can be anything related to the time the Daedalus Convoy is in flight. Here are the known details:

• 24 BoRoHs in the Daedalus Convoy

• 25 Project Icarus members per BoRoH

• Additional 50 people per BoRoH selected to accompany the Project Icarus members. Each person was allowed to bring 2 people with them. Children allowed and encouraged given the duration of the mission

• There is some capacity for manufacturing because they can build more Promo-Drones

• Each of the BoRoHs has a representative. Collectively, all representives make up the "Council of 24," who make decisions for the convoy.

• The Council of 24 promote someone to be the "Admiral of the Convoy," who is responsible for quick and mission critical decision making. In the case of a deadlock amongst the Council of 24, the admiral breaks the deadlock

There is no described way for people to move between BoRoHs, but that does not mean it is impossible. You will just need to be clever to develop a realistic way to move people and objects between BoRoHs. This will almost certainly require the BoRoHs involved in the transfer to return to a connected configuration, which means that everyone involved will be experiencing a 0 g environment.
