I've often wondered about time on the Yggdrasil. When I was first building this world, I imagined a version where much of the knowledge of Earth was lost from some disaster in the past and the passage of time. One of the things I was curious about was how they might rebuild a time system in the absence of a rotating planet. Assuming they could still measure things like seconds, what would some of the natural cycles be? Of course, one of them would be the rotation rate of the habitat rings, which is precisely 0.6687917203 rotations per minute. What significance would they attach to his number? The reality is that rate was chosen to make it so gravity went from 0.75 g to 1.25 g in even 0.0125 g increments per level for the dimensions set to the ship. Using rotations, how would time in Drasilian society be organized? What sort of myths or beliefs might spring up around such an oddly precise number of seconds per rotation?
In this challenge problem, you will go through some of the calculations to confirm the Yggdrasil World time units. You'll also be given the opportunity to add some of your own and imagine how life is organized around those time units. Keep in mind they are
