Maryland Volunteer Response Corps

Assist the Montgomery County Public Health departments with emergency response vaccination clinics, COVID test collection, and other relief activities.

Once you have registered (and completed the required virtual HIPPA/FEMA trainings ~2hrs) you will receive emails from the health department asking for volunteers at locations across Montgomery County for events like vaccination clinics, vaccine outreach events, and covid testing drive-through centers. Currently, they are seeking volunteers to help mostly with Pediatric Vaccination Clinics. You will likely help directing people to tables, filling out vaccination cards, or helping to input patient information into the EMR.

Most volunteering with MVRC does NOT require any further training or medical license. Some events (e.g. vaccine outreach) will require virtual training beforehand. If you do have a medical license you wish to use while volunteering you WILL need prior approval (see approval process page above).
