The project aims to develop the skill in students in creating architecture that has meaning and purpose beyond space planning. Identity and visual tradition through the proposed design should propel a student's imagination into the realm and ideals of learning. The noble intent that is achieved through the architectural climate will help establish purpose for designing. As the final project for this term, the goals of developing skills geared towards understanding educational design will hopefully be achieved thus providing the student a thorough knowledge of the purpose and nature of educational architecture.
The project calls for the design of a University Main Building for a proposed UST expansion in General Santos City. It shall house all the administrative functions for this independent university and contain all relevant and pertinent offices as well. More importantly, the building shall serve as a unique and distinct identity to the new institution separate but within the historical language of the more famous counterpart in Sampaloc. The design of the building shall encompass not only function, and efficiency, but more importantly academic pride for the community and the brand as a whole.

Within the allotted time, design a "Multipurpose Hall" that will serve as a support structure for the University plate. The Multipurpose Hall shall accommodate both level engagements, i.e., balls, commencements, as well as play area for certain sports. As a multipurpose building, the design shall not employ traditional Gym or Warehouse type architecture and instead should show creativity and uniqueness in design. The Multipurpose Hall should have an identity of its own, as it serves as a venue for important school events. Its size and capacity are based on the regular size of a basketball field 20.00 meters by 32.00 meters, not including bleachers, and stage area.
