ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 2

We were tasked to search traditional and contemporary photos of architectural elements and discuss there similarities and differences put them on our google slides for presentation.

We were tasked to look for a movie that has a futuristic setting and do a movie review and research on what type of architecture setting did the movie use for the landscapes and structures.

Since the first semester, In Architectural Design has always been a challenging subject for me. I always struggled with creating concepts for my design that I can apply well to my plans and drawings. There always times that I felt lost interest or unfitting whenever I can't come up with ideas like my peers. However, I realized that I should be more confident and competent so I could improve on what I lack. In doing my major plates, basic site and space planning are essential as they lay the foundations in creating the plan of the structure. Without these, I think it would be very hard to work on the form of the structure itself. Specific actions that I would improve on is trying to explore more on my imagination because I tend to base my ideas and design on existing structures. Also, I tend to contemplate a lot in doing my design because I always had second thoughts if I'm doing these correctly or not. Advice for the upcoming 1st-year student that they should start reading architectural materials to support their designs and concepts. also, try to practice doing perspectives it can really help a lot in your different subjects and just try to enjoy the first year of architecture as much as can.
