To illustrate "reframe", we would like to tell you about USF Alumni Bruce Diaso, a personal friend of Hal Urban's.
Bruce had a disability and was confined to a wheelchair. Instead of focusing on what he didn't have or couldn't do, he chose to focus on 2 things:
1) what he did have and what he could control
2) to actively look for opportunities to feed his mind with positive and inspiring information (paraphrased from page 70)
“We can’t escape, ignore or make this reality go away. But we can learn effective ways to deal with it, even to rise above it” -Hal Urban, pg xx.
Reframing your perspective can be challenging, so we want to offer another option to think about...
Sometimes when we have "bad news", that can be a catalyst to motivate us into action and activism to be part of the solution
"If you don’t like something, change it…” -Maya Angelou, pg 86.

Take a moment to walk this loop.
As you approach the end, think about everything going on in your life (both good and bad)
As you make the turn in the loop, can you literally and physically "reframe" your perspective by focusing on what you can control
Enjoy the peaceful quiet solitude of this space!
