EQ: How is a color scheme applied to a piece?
EQ: How do I control the visual flow of the viewer?
DESCRIPTION: Students must create a piece of art interpreting the phrase “All packed up and ready to go.” The piece can be a drawing, painting, digital, 3D, or mixed media work. Students must consider and analyze the phrase from a literal, symbolic and philosophical point of view as they look to create their work. Students must illustrate at least one symbol, apply a color scheme, create visual compositional flow, and communicate to the viewer the concept behind the phrase. Each student must submit a minimum of 5 sketches for approval. Approval must be obtained on a sketch before moving on to the final. It is recommended that students work to create layers of visual space (foreground, middleground, and background). Reference materials, WIPs, and the final work are required for final grade.
