OASIS

The Online Academic Student Information System allows students to access an array of services, including STARS reports, grade reports, transcripts and verifications, USCe.pay, the USC Payment Plan, and Student Health Insurance.

IMPORTANT: In accordance with FERPA guidelines, parents and family members may not view their student’s academic and financial records unless the student has granted access to them. Faculty and academic advisors can provide NO information to your guardians if they have questions about your progress. (We cannot even confirm the courses you are taking.) Students at USC can grant anyone access by creating an OASIS for Guests account, which will allow a guest user to view grades, courses, progress to degree, transfer credits, restrictions on the student’s account and financial data.

FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended (also sometimes referred to as the Buckley Amendment), is a federal law regarding the privacy of student records and the obligations of the institution, primarily in the areas of release of records and the access provided to these records. According to FERPA, personally identifiable information in an education record may not be released without prior written consent from the student. Even parents are not permitted access to their son’s or daughter's education records unless the student has provided written authorization permitting the parents' access. Exceptions are noted in the university's policy. Know your full rights under FERPA.
