Science

The science department at UHS offers a robust set of course offerings that align with the Next Generation Science Standards. These classes offer many hands-on activities including laboratory investigations. The core classes for the science department include Biology, Chemistry, & Physics with Earth Sciences built within each course. Building upon the core classes, the science department offers a wide range of Honors, Advanced Placement, and Elective Classes including Honors Biology & Honors Chemistry, AP Physics & AP Environmental Science, and electives such as Astronomy and Anatomy & Physiology. Many of the courses within the department are also linked to the UHS Academies such as Engineering and Architecture, Health Science, & Digital Media Arts. The science department participates in school wide and community programs such as Science Fair, Trebuchet Day, and Science Family Fun Night.
