We extend our appreciation to our amazing facilitators, Ms. Jo-Anne Domingo and Mr. Mark Dumlao (librarians from Information Services and Instruction Section), for leading the session.

Here are some highlights from our recently concluded UPCEd Library Staff's leadership training, themed "𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕: 𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔", held last August 13, 2024, at the UPCEd Library Learning Commons.

We sincerely appreciate Dean Jerome Buenviaje, Dr. Joel Javiniar, and Asst. Prof. Emmanuelle Manalang from the Educational Administration faculty for their time and invaluable insights. Their expertise greatly contributed to the depth and value of this training experience!

Highlights from the UPCEd Library Peer Teaching Session held last August 15-16, 2024. 

𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩: 𝐹𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑀𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝐻𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑡ℎ, 𝑆𝑒𝑙𝑓-𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐴𝑛𝑡𝑖-𝐹𝑟𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦

On June 19, 2024, staff members of the UP College of Education Library had the opportunity to participate in an enriching and enlightening seminar, "Fostering Mental Health, Self-Care, and Anti-Fragility". Dr. Lorelei Vinluan, a faculty member in the UP Diliman College of Education Division of Educational Leadership & Professional Services (DELPS) Counselor Education, led the program. The dean of the University of the Philippines College of Education, Dr. Jerome Buenviaje, was present at the event.

Dr. Vinluan shared invaluable insights and strategies for maintaining mental health, self-care, and resilience. The event provided the library staff a great opportunity to learn, engage, and grow together.

Thank you, Dr. Vinluan, for your expertise and for fostering a positive and empowering environment!

Immersing ourselves in the art of intentional writing with esteemed authors!

For EDLit 123, we had the privilege of listening from Carlos Palanca Hall of Famer, Prof. Eugene Evasco, as he shared his remarkable journey behind the award-winning YA novel 'Anina ng mga Alon'

Meanwhile, in EDLit 122, Teacher Hazelle and her students, along with special guests from the library staff, were captivated by Teacher Maita Salvador's experience crafting 'When Zero Left Number Land' and Teacher Yvette Concepcion-Alcazar's journey as a textbook writer and author of the heartwarming children's book 'Letting Sunny Go.'

Later, we enjoyed a cinematic delight with a screening of 'Firefly', an official entry at the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival, the tickets are courtesy of Literacy Education Area. Our library staff were present to soak in every moment.
