Library Services
What are the library's hours of operation?
During the regular academic terms, the UPCEd library is open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday; during the midyear term, it is only open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, with no Saturday service.
What should I bring to access and utilize the library?
Please bring your UP RFID card and a copy of your processed form 5 when you visit us. We will issue you your library pass afterward, this is a one-time registration only, and at every start of the semester we will be issuing sticker cards

What are the library's visitor policies for outside researchers?
Alumni, former faculty and staff
UPAA Alumni Card or proof of former UP status
free use of the library for five (5) visits per semester or summer
Php 20.00/day or Php 450.00/year or Php 300.00/summer
Government researchers
valid office ID and referral letter from their office’s Head Librarian
Private researchers and graduate students from other schools
accepting Monday-Friday only
valid office or school ID and referral letter from the office’s or school’s head librarian
research fee of Php 50.00/day; Php 450.00/semester; or Php 300.00/summer

How to Access UP Publications & Electronic Theses / Dissertations?

they are allowed room-use only of the collection upon the day/s of intended visit.
UP Constituents (Students, Faculty & Staff)
These type of users can utilize the access through Digital Archives Platform. This is the official Institutional Repository of the University of the Philippines Diliman. As the flagship campus, it is also in charge of safekeeping the permanent records of the offices of the UP System. It identifies, acquires, maintains, preserves, and allows access to the university’s digital institutional records and memory.
Just go directly to digitalarchives.upd.edu.ph url link. At the top right side corner of the website's interface, you will see the Log-in button, Home and Search Button, the different resources you can access on this database; the Personal Papers, Presidential Papers, Theses and Dissertations, University Records,, and UPIANA. Remember, viewing or downloading of full-text content will be limited. To obtain full access, you may need to log in using your UPD Webmail account (@upd.edu.ph).
How to Access Printed Books Collection?
UP Constituents (Students, Faculty & Staff)
They can borrow books. Students can only borrow throughout semesters and not during semester breaks.
Undergraduate students may borrow five regular circulation books valid for five days and two reserve books for overnight usage.
Graduate program students may borrow ten regular circulation books valid for ten days and two reserve books for overnight usage.
How to Access Online Resources
UP Constituents (Students, Faculty & Staff)
The OpenAthens platform can be accessed using UP mail via Google Apps.
This is a single sign on that creates a session that allows the end-user to move from resource to resource without the need to re-enter their credentials
How can I check the library resources you have remotely?
Tuklas is a resource discovery tool based on the open-source software VuFind, customized to cater to the research needs and information-seeking behavior of the UP community and the general public.
The website can be accessed through this link: https://tuklas.up.edu.ph/
The holdings available include resources from the participating UP CUs in Diliman, Baguio, Manila, Olongapo, Pampanga, and Tacloban.
