Business Establishments Surrounding the Seven Lakes

The table on the right indicates the number of business establishments in each Barangay, which each lake covers from 2020 to 2023. 


The current total number of business establishments surrounding the lakes is 760.  Sampaloc Lake has the most recorded number of business establishments to date. Further information can be found in the table on the right. You can also click on each tab to see data for each lake.

Business Establishments

Sampaloc Lake has had the most business establishments among the seven small crater lakes in San Pablo City. However, it is notable that there is a decline in business establishments in all seven lakes in 2023. To understand further, below are the graphs showing the trend of business establishments on each lake from 2020 to present. 

Business Establishments Data Per Lake

Barangay Concepcion is the only barangay that covers Bunot Lake. According to the San Pablo City LGU data, there is a decline in business establishments surrounding Bunot Lake. The latest data recorded only 98 business establishments. 

Calibato Lake falls under three Barangays- Sto. Angel, Tala, Riza, Antipolo, Rizal. There has been a decline in the number of business establishments surrounding Calibato Lake. As of the latest San Pablo City LGU data, there are only 74 establishments. The highest number of establishments recorded was in 2022 (shown as the peak in the graph above), wherein there were 192 business establishments in the barangays covering the lakes. 

Like Bunot Lake, Mohicap Lake only covers one Barangay- Brgy. San Buenaventura. The observed trend from the San Pablo City LGU data shows a decline in the number of business establishments surrounding the lake; from 44 to 31.

There is also a decreasing trend of Business Establishments in Palakpakin Lake since 2022. It is to be noted that there are two barangays covering Palakpakin lake- Barangay Dolores and Barangay San Lorenzo. 

The same decreasing trend can be observed for Pandin Lake in Barangay Sto. Angel. As the latest data from LGU San Pablo,  there are 74 business establishments surrounding Pandin Lake; a decrease of 23 in establishments since 2022. 

Sampaloc lake is the largest lake among the seven small-crater lakes is covered by nine barangays. It is nearest the city center where the municipal office and offices are situated. Commercial activities remain present surrounding Sampaloc lake. These commercial activities include cafeterias/restaurants, apartments for lease, product dealers, and service providers. 

Unlike, Samapaloc Lake, Yambo Lake (and Pandin Lake) are farther from the city center. Hence, business establishments are not as numerous compared to San Pablo. In fact, according to the latest LGU San Pablo records, there are only 12 business establishments surrounding Yambo Lake. 

Key Highlights: 

In the case of the lakes located in the urban center of San Pablo City, commercial activities have been generally increasing, for instance, the commercial activities in the surrounding barangays of Sampaloc Lake. These commercial activities include cafeterias/restaurants, apartments for lease, product dealers, and service providers.
