Designation of Course Development Teams

Mobilization of Course Development Teams. Headed by a Course Coordinator; each team is assigned to do the following tasks:

  • Smooth implementation of the assigned course by ensuring well coordinated assignment of topics (for team-taught courses), course
    activities, materials, schedule of examinations, and materials that are needed for the course.

  • Preparation of the course pack of the assigned course. The said course pack shall include the course syllabus, learning resources (readings, video lectures, power point presentations, modules/study guides) and activity guides for the required learning and assessment activities and requirements (e.g. study questions, exercises, problem sets, examinations) that are to be used for the 14-week-semester.

  • Active search for possible visiting professors, eminent scientists, practitioners, and other experts to deliver online lectures
    and interact with students in virtual class sessions.

  • Creation of a mechanism for smooth communication between the assigned teacher(s) and the registered students of the course and the distribution of the course packs to the students.

Monitoring of Activities Related to the Development of Course Packages

Deadlines for submission/completion of course learning plans, study guides, assessment guides, and course materials were set to ensure completion of all course packages on or before 01 September 2020

On July 8, various teams were created to develop course packs of all courses for the first semester AY 2020-2021. In addition, there was an online meeting for updates on course pack development, feedback of faculty on the UVLE experience, orientation and updates by Prof. Belanio on the UPV LMS project.

A workshop on creating an account and other basic features of Canvas wsa held on July 9, 2020 at SOTECH New Building.

LMS Part II: Workshop on Student Learning Assessment Tools using Canvas Instructure platform

Workshop on exploring assessment tools (e.g. online quiz/exam formats such as multiple choice, matching type, fill in the blanks, etc.) and grade evaluation and monitoring was held on 16 July 2020 at SOTECH New Building.
