LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
(1) Distinguish the concepts of hazard, disaster, and the elements of disaster risk in communities
(2) Discuss the essential principles to practice disaster risk reduction and management in communities
(3) Distinguish the hazards and risk factors, and risk level of one’s community or organization based on a given disaster scenario
(4) Given the identified hazards, formulate a preparedness plan appropriate for the needs of one’s community or organization
(5) Display empathy and sensitivity in preparing one’s needs, and the needs of the community throughout the different phases of a disaster situation
Learners are expected to utilize all the learning materials in this course section throughout the granted period of access
After every module, learners are required to share via the Jamboard link, learning insights from the modules
Participation to the Live Synthesis Session is required. All learners must login through the link below, 15 minutes before the start of the session. Attendance will be recorded.
Post Test for the course will be available for access and accomplishment after the Live session. All learners must garner at least a 50% passing rate in order to complete this course, and be granted access to the skills courses in this site.
