Registration Announcements
Students are advised to file their readmission appeals and settle other accountabilities promptly so they can be cleared in time for the registration period. We strongly discourage filing late appeals as this has a high risk of a student being underloaded.
All major courses are available in CRS and classes should be enlisted in blocks during the pre-enlistment period. Refer to the remarks for the mode of implementation. Slot allotments for each class are also available there.
Students should be pre-advised before the first day of registration period on 06 August. Prepare your updated study plan and communicate with your program adviser for this. Those who are not pre-advised will be removed from their enlisted block to give priority to those who are pre-advised.
Department waitlisting will be processed every 9 AM and 2:30 PM during the registration period. No teacher’s prerog will be done as all enlistments will be done only by the Undergraduate Student Affairs Committee (UStAC). You may course your concerns through the GE Representative or by emailing UStAC. The following schedule will be implemented:
14-15 January (morning): Waitlisting in GE blocks
15 (afternoon)-16 January: Waitlisting in individual classes
Students who do not need all classes in the block are advised to wait until the block waitlisting is over to enlist only in the classes they need. This will ensure that those who need the entire block will be given the chance. Slots obtained by those who enlisted in the block despite needing only a few classes from it will be cancelled in the morning of the first day of registration.
Classes will be removed from the blocks to allow waitlisting in individual class in the afternoon of the second day of registration, after waitlisting is processed.
Cancellation of enlisted block or class/es may be done by your program adviser during the registration period. After this, students will have to proceed to the offering unit.
Transferring from one class to another will not be allowed especially if the classes are already full.
No waiver of prerequisites will be entertained.
After the registration period, enlistment requests should be sent only to students.dge.upd@up.edu.ph. Other registration-related matters, including appeal letters and other documents for signature/endorsement by the Department Chair, should also be sent there.
We strongly advise against committing any form of registration-related fraud such as signing petitions by students who do not need the class or are not qualified to take them yet to reach the minimum number needed to open a class. Such act will be dealt with in accordance with University rules and guidelines.
As of posting, the Department has secured slots for the subjects and schedules below. Please enlist in the sections provided. Slots were requested based on the provided demand through the Course Demand Survey implemented by the GE Representative, but these were subject to approval of the offering unit. If the demand for the subjects and sections is much less than the slots from the CDS, the Department will no longer request slots for classes from the CDS in the next semesters.
