All incoming BS GE freshmen from UPCA are allowed to take GE 10 regardless of K12 track/strand.
GE Elective: a General Education (GE or GenEd) course a student can choose from the list of General Education courses prescribed by the program.
Elective: a non-GenEd course a student can choose from any area or discipline and regardless of course number that contributes to the student’s program of study or track. The elective should enhance the student’s technical competence, knowledge, and skills.
Prerequisite: required as a prior condition (www.lexico.com) | Before taking a course, the student must have passed the pre-requisite course. In the BS GE Curriculum Flowchart, this is denoted with an arrow. The arrow starts from the pre-requisite course. (A → B) The student needs to pass course A before he/she is allowed to take course B.
Corequisite: a formal course of study required to be taken simultaneously with another (www.merriam-webster.com) | In the BS GE Curriculum Flowchart, this is denoted by a dashed line arrow. This means that a course must be enlisted before a student can enlist another course. (A ⇢ B) The student needs to enlist or be qualified to take course A before he/she is allowed to take course B.
Seasonal: restricted according to the season or time of year (www.lexico.com) | All of UP DGE's major courses are seasonal. This means that subjects offered during the 1st Semester are only offered during the 1st Semester, and the same applies to courses during the 2nd Semester and Midyear terms.

Study Plan: contains the courses that the student plans to take each semester
Checklist: contains a list of courses in the curriculum where the student need to update his/her grades every semester to check which subjects are left and for evaluating the student's performance
