OJT Guidelines
Midyear 2025
General Reminders for Application and Acceptance
Only students who satisfy the following can be enlisted in GE 192:
Third year standing (passed GE 127, GE 168, and GE 193);
Pre-advised to take GE 192 during midyear registration; and
Submitted the documentary requirements to show proof of acceptance by the HTE and readiness to be deployed for internship before the deadline set.
The OJT shall strictly be for a minimum of 200 hours or a maximum of 240 hours. It should be within duration of the midyear classes (19 June-23 July 2025) only. The finals week (25-28 July) should be allotted for the preparations for the OJT Colloquium and of the final accomplishment report. Under no circumstances must the OJT extend until 1st Semester.
Students may start sending out applications to Host Training Establishments (HTEs) that have an approved and notarized Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the University. The list of these HTEs is provided below.
Students may also apply for internship in research projects and offices within UP Diliman. No MOA is required for such HTEs, but the FIC must be informed first.
The following are the basic application requirements that need to be prepared:
Curriculum vitae/resume (one to two pages only, containing information relevant to the application); and
Cover letter expressing the student’s intent to apply for an internship in the HTE
The student may request for an endorsement letter from the Department if necessary.
Upon acceptance, the student must request the following documents from the HTE representative:
Letter of acceptance addressed to the student and signed by the HTE representative;
Internship Agreement (see template below) signed by the HTE representative, the intern, and the intern's legal guardian; and
Work Assignment and Schedule Matrix (WASM) (see template below) showing the intern's work plan designed and signed by the HTE representative or internship supervisor.
The Internship Agreement and the letter of acceptance must be submitted through https://bit.ly/dge-ojt-2025 on or before 06 Jun 2025. Students who fail to do so will not be included in the AFA documents for approval by the College/University and, consequently, will not be enlisted in GE 192. The Internship Agreement will be sent back to students once signed by the FIC for notarization. The notarized Internship Agreement should be submitted back to be included for final AFA approval. On the other hand, the WASM must be submitted to the FIC during the first week of OJT.
For the F2F AFA requirements of the University, students must:
be enrolled in the GE 192;
be mentally and physically fit; and
for those not covered by the Free Tuition Act, secure medical insurance for the coverage of the OJT.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the list of HTEs that is currently posted in the DGE Students’ Info Hub updated?
Yes, the list is updated. Refer to the Last Updated for the date of last update. Rest assured that we will update the list as soon as any new information from the HTEs becomes available.
Am I allowed to submit application to multiple HTEs?
Yes. However, if you are offered an internship in more than one HTE, you are strongly advised to decide which offer to accept as soon as possible to give the other students a chance since the internship slots that the HTEs opened to GE students are limited.
Will the Department/FIC guide us in our application?
The role of the Department/FIC is limited to coordination with the HTEs and managing your submissions. We will not evaluate your applications and will not assist you in the entire process. This is an on-the-job training; you need to handle every step on your own. However, you may raise any concerns to us if you need advice on certain matters. The Department/FIC will only intervene if we deem it necessary to do so.
What happens if we fail to secure acceptance and submit the necessary documents by the deadline?
You will not be allowed in enlist in GE 192, which means you will be delayed in your progress in the curriculum.
Will there be a compensation?
By default, the MOA includes a stipulation that interns must be given a compensation of at least 70% of the minimum wage. However, government agencies typically do not have this provision due to budgetary constraints, while some HTEs may have a different figure. The best thing to do is ask your HTE about this.
