Library Amnesty Program

UP is launching a Library Amnesty Program in celebration of the University Library Centennial. All University Libraries and College/Unit Libraries in the UP System will be implementing this Program from 18 April to 29 April 2022.
During the amnesty period, UP Libraries will accept returns of overdue books and the overdue fines will be waived, subject to guidelines approved by the OVPAA.
Below are the guidelines for accepting returns of overdue library materials:
Fines or all overdue books returned during the 18-29 April 2022 period shall be waived.
All users (students, faculty, staff) with overdue books in any library within the UP System are covered by the amnesty.
The amnesty only covers overdue books that have been returned in good condition. Lost and damaged books are not covered.
Reproduction or photocopies will not be accepted in place of damaged or lost books.
The library reserves the right to evaluate the acceptability of returned overdue books.
Reserve Books borrowed during this period are not covered in the Library Amnesty Program.
