I would like to extend my congratulations to the recipient of this year's DDAA, as well as to all those nominated. It is admirable that all of you have been able to keep the spirit of creativity, hard work and initiative during this challenging time.

I would also like to thank the Department of Language, Literature and the Arts, specially the Fine Arts Program, as well as the staff of UP Baguio College of Arts and Communications for keeping this activity alive and finding ways to push through with selecting nominees and holding deliberations by which jurors evaluate these students' works.

Hopefully, at the next DDAA we can all see each other again at the Darnay Demetillo Art Space and see for ourselves the artworks of everyone who will participate.
