Congratulations to the nominees and recipient of the 2021 Darnay Demetillo Artist Award. Aside from being a recognition for artistic excellence, it should be a welcome whiff of wind amidst a suffocating situation.

We thank the jurors for sharing their time and wisdom with UP Baguio so that we are able to bestow the award despite the difficult year.

We continue to be grateful to the Demetillo family and Gloria Orden for their generosity and trust.

We celebrate this achievement because it is a testament to the ability of the arts to thrive and triumph over the global pandemic. We are proud of the many forms of artistic expressions, online and offline, that have been produced in Baguio during the past challenging months.
