It is my great pleasure to welcome all of you to attend the 11^th ANRRC International Meeting (ANRRC 2019), which will be held on October 16-18, 2019 at Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), Laguna, Philippines.

Starting in 2009, ANRRC has achieved great success with the leadership of Prof. Yeonhee Lee and Dr. Yuichi Obata, the first two presidents of ANRRC. Currently, the ANRRC membership counts as 16 countries and 112 institutions.

ANRRC has successfully sponsored nine conferences and ANRRC meeting, and is one of the most important meetings in microbial resources research in Asia. These conferences and other ANRRC activities have effectively prompted the sharing of knowledge on research resources (microbe, plant, animal, and human materials) and methodology, as well as promoting the advancements of science and technology.

With the goal to improve the people’s welfare of Asia and other regions, ANRRC will continuously dedicate itself to facilitate access to research resources, science advancements, and technology innovations in Asia and other regions.

I am sure that the 11^th ANRRC International Meeting (ANRRC 2019) in the Philippines will be a successful and fruitful meeting. I hope that you will take the opportunity to socialize and network with new acquaintances and build upon those relationships that have already been established to sustain collaborations.
