The Harvard/MIT Equitable Access to Research Training (HEART) MD-PhD Summer Program is a fully-funded summer program for college students interested in MD-PhD training. Students from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine (broadly defined) are especially encouraged to apply. Program participants will engange in full-time research, clinical shadowing, career development workshops, and social events.Β
Northwestern Medicine Pre-Physician Assistant Summer Internship

The program Northwestern Pre-PA Summer (paid) Internship pairs students with a clinical and administrative preceptor to participate in clinical observations, conduct a clinically-oriented research or quality project, and engage in educational seminars. At the end of the program, students showcase their achievements at a poster session. The eight week internship runs Monday-Thursday.

VCU Summer Academic Enrichment Program (SAEP)

VCU SAEP is a six-week summer program that simulates the first-year of dentistry, medicine, pharmacy or physical therapy professional school instruction. Participants take academically intensive instruction in each of their chosen tracks in addition to non-credit core-coursework in virtual anatomy (head and neck), pharmacology and physiology. SAEP participants attend learning skills and test-taking workshops, mock interviews, professionalism seminars, current health care topics, coaching and community service activities in an interprofessional framework. At the conclusion of the program, participants receive an assessment of their readiness to attend professional school.
**There is no direct cost for the program. The summer session is completely free, housing is provided at no cost and a stipend is given to each participant to cover food.Β Participants are responsible for their own travel costs and have the option of purchasing discounted VCU parking and gym passes while attending.
VCU OT Academy

OT Academy is a pathway program drawing participants from underrepresented minority (URM) populations designed to promote knowledge and understanding of the profession of occupational therapy (OT) while preparing for application to OT programs. Through engagement in presentations, discussions, and hands-on opportunities, participants will gain skills required to be a competitive applicant, and a successful and professional student in a rigorous graduate program.Β
OT Academy is open to sophomore, junior, and senior college students interested in the field of Occupational Therapy.
**Lunch is provided on session days. A modest stipend is provided.
UCLA Premedical Enrichment Program PREP

PREP is an intensive summer program that provides pre-med students with the means to strengthen their ability and readiness to study medicine.Β
There is no tuition fee or application costs to participate in the program. Stipend and Housing (including meals) options will be available to our participants. The amount may vary depending on funding availability.

The UMass Chan Medical School Summer Undergraduate Research Program is a non-credit, ten-week, structured research experience sponsored by UMass Chan Office of Outreach Programs. The program consists of "hands-on" laboratory research with an investigator serving as a mentor, role model and advisor.Β Participants will get an immersive experience preforming cutting edge research in a broad range of topic areas including: Cancer Biology, Immunology & Infectious Disease, Neuroscience, and Bioinformatics.
