This activity aims at developing an integrated system for the detection of physiological data in clinically relevant settings. In specific a prototype of a sensing mat able to detect and analyse body pressure distribution during surgery will be tested and validated for its integration into an operating table. Enabling technologies and smart sensors will be deployed integrating different sensing modalities (e.g., thermal, optical, inertial), collected data will be used to assess human interactions and their analysis will enable redaction of standardised guidelines and procedures to ensure patient safety.
Prototype an innovative system integrating multiple sensors (e.g., inertial, thermal) based on commercially available technologies.
Prototype soft sensors for the detection of human motion.
Develop technical guidelines for data collection and management.
