This research investigates, for the first time, the effect of crosslinking density and of the filler addition on the elastocaloric properties of natural rubber based materials.
The results of this research could underscore the significance of the crosslinking density and of the filler introduction as primary factors to be considered in enhancing the refrigeration potential of natural rubber. A prototype of a cooling device based on these multifunctional materials will be developed.
