Welcome to our team!

Hello, Y-Teamers!! I am Mrs. Sivyer, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to have you in class this year.  I teach Literature & Composition (Lit/Comp for short) for the Y-Team and have my homeroom section of Language Arts. 

I have been in education for 26 years, and this is my 6th year back at Parkside. I was here in 6th grade teaching Social Studies and Language Arts a little over 10 years ago, and was fortunate to take a hiatus while my boys were young and spent time in educational consulting and teaching at ISU.  As my boys got a little older, I realized I was ready to get back into the classroom and was THRILLED when a position at PJ opened up at just the right time!

My husband, Geoff, and I have to two sons, Jude and Isaiah, and two dogs--Goldie and Cookie. We enjoy playing outside, playing cards, and challenging one another in video games together.
