Hello! I'm Mr. Thoennes. I am looking forward to the challenge of beginning the year with full remote learning, although I'd rather meet and have class together in person.

I've been teaching for 27 years. In that time I have taught all core subject areas from elementary age to high school. This year I will be teaching science and one section of language arts. I am serving as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddle coach at Parkside for the 19th year. 

This year would have been my 30th season coaching high school football.  I really miss not having a season.

When I'm not teaching or coaching you will most likely catch me racing cars with my son Kyle (an 8th grader here at PJHS) or hanging out at the beach with my best friend and awesome wife of 22 years, Kary Beth. (math teacher on the other 6th grade team here at PJHS)
