Hello and welcome to 6B! My name is Mr. Ingram and I am the Social Studies teacher. I have been teaching Social Studies for 7 years and this will be my first year at Evans. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2011 and have been working in education ever since. I have been teaching virtually since 2020 but I'm eager to get back into the classroom this year! Most of my experience has been teaching high school students, but I'm very excited to share my passion for social studies with the 6th grade. I believe that building a better future for all of us starts with analyzing cultures of the ancient world. Let's start building together!
Here is a little more about me:
I grew up in Goodfield, IL (home of Busy Corner) and graduated from Eureka High School.
I played football, basketball, baseball and ran track - fun fact: I still hold the 7th grade boys' hurdles record at Eureka Middle School.
I have been coaching high school sports for 16 years and am currently an Assistant Varsity/Head Sophomore Football coach at Normal Community High School.
My family moved to Towanda in 2020. You'll hear a lot of stories about my wife Taylor, our three daughters: Savannah (8), Madison (5), and Gracey (3), and our dog Louis, a 2-year old mini bernedoodle.
My hobbies outside of studying history and coaching football include: water sports, building with dominoes, and going on family adventures!
