Hello!!!
Welcome to 6th grade! My name is Miss Bensko & I will be your science teacher here on Team 6B. I also teach one section of Language Arts. This is my 6th year of teaching. I am the 8thgrade softball coach at Evans. I just finished my Master’s Degree at Illinois State University in Teaching & Learning. I have a passion for science and I can’t wait to share that with you!
Here's a little bit more about me:
I grew up in a small town outside of Springfield. I come from a family of educators. My mom was a teacher for 39 years. Fun fact: she was MY 6th grade science teacher! :) My brother is a PE teacher in Chicago. I have 3 beautiful nieces that I love spending time with! I started my teaching career at Kingsley Jr. High where I taught 6th grade science for 3 years. Back in college I student taught at Evans & knew I wanted to eventually come back! I have been here for 3 years now & am proud to be an Eagle. Outside of the classroom, I have a passion for helping teachers around the world. I have a blog and a Professional Teaching Instagram where I share engagement ideas, lessons, classroom management tips, & more with teachers everywhere!
