"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." — Winston Churchill
Some SDGs in Vietnam have to have more donations, because some SDGs get more attention than others as more charities support them. The less we donate to the SDGs' problem, the more money they need. This is inequality, connecting to economic barriers in Vietnam. This leads to some SDGs in Vietnam getting a lot of attention, such as SDG 1 and SDG 3. Whereas other SDGs in Vietnam, which are big problems, don’t get a lot of funding like SDG 10 and SDG 14. Areas in ethnic minorities and mountainous regions are affected the most by SDG 10 because these areas get less funding than other places in Vietnam, and it is a lot harder for them to survive. Only 0.3% of the UN SDG funds go to SDG 10 in Vietnam. Places like Nha Trang Bay do not get a lot of funding for SDG 14. This is because these areas are Marine protected. These areas have to survive on only donations from locals connecting to SDG 17, specifically SDG 17.16 - Global Partnerships for sustainable development. Only 1% of the SDG funds go to SDG 14, and less than 6% go to other SDGs.Vietnam has placed 84th out of 128 countries in the world giving index, which is a low place that needs to be raised. That is why our group decided to develop an app that could help people donate money more easily and to the specific SDG that they prefer. There are institutions like Little Rose Warm Shelter, or Save the Children Vietnam that are already helping children and adults who are struggling with donation by protecting and caring for young girls by sheltering them, as well as providing physical and mental rehabilitation, and giving shelter and education to children who don't have the opportunity to receive it. The Hope Bank, our app, is a way where you can track your spending and our app will calculate the amount and ask if you can donate some of that money to a charity of your choice, this app might be able to revolutionise charities and many nations across the planet, this app also has a mini bar that shows how much money that charity needs and how much it has gotten to help you feel more interested in donating. This problem might be able to be solved by our app and I hope this app can be known and used to help support us and other people around the world, this problem can’t be solved alone if you all help support us in our project we can finally help other nations and charities across our planet earth and would finally be able to put a stop to this problem.
