Poor education around road safety is a major cause of road deaths in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. 90% of urban kids finish school compared to only 65% of rural kids, and this educational disparity is reflected in accident rates between urban and rural areas. The rural kids in Mekong delta 37% of them dont have access to school and most of those schools dont teach them about road safety and 20% of those schools lack basic teaching stuff and most of those teachers arent trained and this causes more injurys or death there are still big challenges poverty and the distance to schools make it hard for families to send their kids sometimes families choose to have food now instead of education for the future this cycle is tough to break our mission is to give rural kids a good education that includes learning about road safety we want to get more kids in school and make sure teachers are well-trained by doing this we hope to create places where everyone cares about safety and looks out for each other when we help with education were not just helping kids were making the roads safer and building a better future for the whole Mekong Delta also 37 percent of kids arent even going to secondary school because of these problem which makes it even harder for them to learn and learn how to stay safe on the roads.
