Our Phoenix Nest focus is ensuring nutritious and safe food for children in rural Vietnam. Around 24% of children under five in Vietnam suffer from stunted growth due to poor nutrition. Many children miss school due to long travel times, guiding our Phoenix Nest's focus. Approximately 30% of children in rural Vietnam do not have access to regular school meals. Poor nutrition can stunt growth and weaken immune systems. This highlights the severity of the problem and how this issue is significant. Lack of nutrition also negatively affects education and development of learning. By understanding these needs, we can tailor our strategies to effectively address these nutritional gaps. Our solution is to develop a cookbook that makes food more accessible and healthy. We will sell this product to parents in the UNIS community, and then larger communities. We will donate the profits to an organisation called Nuoi Em. Successfully implementing this project could significantly improve child health indicators and Sustainable Development Zero Hunger.
