It is projected that bicycle sales are to grow by 1.32% from 2024 - 2029 in Vietnam (108.4M USD - 101.5M USD). In the Netherlands, a country known for their biking population, bicycle sales will decrease by -1.26% from 2024 - 2029 (1.5B USD - 1.41B USD). We can see that Vietnam has a greater growth rate compared to the Netherlands, a country that cycles a lot. This could be because the rise in cycling in the Netherlands was in the past, therefore the growth rate in sales can not increase in the present. In Vietnam, cycling has only started to grow, people are realising the health benefits and convenience of it. Therefore the growth rate of sales will be positive. This difference shows that Vietnam will need helmets to match the bike sales. However, if the ratio between bicycles and bicycle helmets does not change in Vietnam, this would mean there would be more people on the road without helmets, which means more people are prone to concussions.
