In Vietnam, not everyone has a solution when there is a medical emergency or access to immediate first aid in emergencies. Only 55% of people in Vietnam have access to immediate first aid. Some people have to travel over 10 km in rural areas to reach healthcare facilities. There` are 200,000 strokes each year in Vietnam. This limited access, compounded by financial constraints and inadequate first-aid training, leaves many vulnerable during emergencies. For example, if more people knew about cardiopulmonary resuscitation, then a significantly smaller number of people would die from many medical emergencies, such as strokes. Everyone should have first aid knowledge.

Addressing these issues by improving healthcare infrastructure and education could enhance Vietnam's Human Development Index (HDI) and contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) related to health and well-being. The human development index can be improved because the health of people in emergencies can be enhanced. This can be done by making affordable, yet useful first aid kits that also come with a form of first aid instruction and training for people who need it because instructions will spread first aid knowledge to people who need it.

To prevent this, providing each household in Hanoi's rural areas a first aid kit with essential medical materials (bandages, painkillers, fever medicine, ice packs, gauzes, etc) alongside a handmade book manual of step-by-step instructions in an emergency health situation and emergency contact numbers would positively benefit the people with lack of emergency health preparedness.
