Modeling and computation of phase equilibria for reactive or non-reactive systems involving fluid and/or solid phases

Marcelo S. Zabaloy is full professor at Departamento de Ingeniería Química of Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS, Bahía Blanca, Argentina) and principal researcher at Planta Piloto de Ingeniería Química (PLAPIQUI, an institute of the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas de la República Argentina, CONICET). He received his chemical engineering degree from UNS in 1987, and his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 1992, also from UNS. His current research is directed mainly to the phase equilibria of non-reactive or reactive systems including solid phases. He has been visiting professor at University of Nevada, Reno (USA, 2002, 2003) and at several Brazilian universities (in the period 2008 to 2019). He is author or coauthor of over 50 peer-review articles in international journals. He has supervised PhD students and CONICET researchers, and continues in the present.
