Submit and Confirm Thesis Draft Submission
Upload your thesis draft through the SISTER platform. After submission, inform the Chair of KERIS and the Thesis Commission to confirm that your draft has been successfully received and logged.
Obtain Supervisor Designation and Begin Consultations
The Thesis Commission will assign your first and second supervisors. Once assigned, request the official letter of supervisor designation. Meet with both supervisors to begin consultations and revise your draft based on their feedback.
Secure Examiner Designation
Once your draft is approved by both supervisors, contact the Head of the Thesis Commission to request the designation of thesis examiners. Coordinate with the study program operator to issue the official letter of examiner designation.
Schedule the Proposal Seminar
Communicate with your supervisors and examiners to determine a mutually agreeable date and time for the proposal seminar. Ensure all parties are informed and agree on the schedule. Send your draft for a similarity check. (link), and then see Pak Farid to book the seminar room.
Distribute Draft and Seminar Materials
Share the approved thesis draft with all supervisors, examiners, and the Thesis Commission. Print all the necessary documents beforehand (link). Additionally, prepare and submit a seminar flyer to promote the event as required (link).
Conduct the Seminar and Finalize Documentation
After conducting the thesis proposal seminar, ensure all necessary seminar documents are uploaded to the designated Google Form to complete the process (link).
Revise the Thesis Draft and Consult Supervisors
Use the feedback received during the proposal seminar to make necessary revisions to your thesis draft. Ensure that you address all points raised by the seminar panel, including content, structure, and formatting issues. Schedule consultations with your supervisors to review the revised draft and incorporate their suggestions until they are satisfied with the quality of your work.
Inform Examiners about the Thesis Examination Plan
Once your supervisors approve the draft for examination, contact all designated examiners to inform them of your intent to proceed with the thesis examination. Provide an overview of the progress and confirm their availability for the next steps. Ensure timely communication to allow examiners to prepare for the review process.
Discuss and Finalize the Examination Schedule
Work collaboratively with your supervisors and examiners to agree on a date and time for the thesis examination. Consider the availability of all parties and ensure that the schedule allows adequate time for everyone to review the thesis draft before the examination. Confirm the schedule officially with all involved. Send your draft for a similarity check (link).
Distribute the Finalized Thesis Draft
Provide the finalized thesis draft, approved by your supervisors, to all examiners and supervisors. Ensure that the draft meets the required formatting and content standards. Share the document in the preferred format (e.g., printed or digital copy) and confirm receipt by each recipient.
Attend the Thesis Examination (Thesis Defense)
Prepare thoroughly for the thesis examination by reviewing your thesis and anticipating potential questions. During the defence, present your research clearly, respond to questions confidently, and address any concerns raised by the examiners. Take note of any additional revisions or corrections suggested during the examination.
Upload Required Documents to the Designated Google Form
After completing the examination, compile all necessary documents, such as the approved thesis, examination results, and any required forms. Upload these documents to the designated Google Form as instructed. Ensure all submissions are accurate and completed within the given deadline to finalize the process (link).
