Our ResponsibilitiesÂ
The Thesis Commission (KOMBI) in the English Education Study Program is responsible for offering students the option to choose from the available Research Groups (KERIS) based on their interests and academic performance. They guide students through the thesis supervision process on the University of Jember’s SISTER system (http://sister.unej.ac.id) and advise them on selecting suitable primary and co-supervisors for their research topics. KOMBI monitors the progress of students who have not advanced significantly for over a year and evaluates supervisors who fail to provide guidance for more than two months after their appointment. Additionally, KOMBI assigns and inputs the names of supervisors, examiners, and co-examiners for thesis-related evaluations into SISTER, manages thesis grade submissions, and compiles records of supervisors and examiners for reporting to the Department Secretary.

Administrative Support
Provide guidance (socialization) to students on the procedures for thesis supervision through SISTER (Integrated System) at the University of Jember, accessible at http://sister.unej.ac.id.
Input the names of the primary supervisor and co-supervisor into SISTER following established procedures.
Input the names of the primary examiner and co-examiner for proposal seminars and final thesis exams.
Input student thesis grades into SISTER.
Documentation and Reporting
Compile records of Supervisors and Examiners for reporting to the Department Secretary.

Academic Leadership
Offer students the option to choose Research Groups (Keris) available in the English Education Study Program.
Assign students to Research Groups within the Study Program based on their interests and academic performance.
Advise students on selecting a primary supervisor and co-supervisor relevant to their proposed research topic or title.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Monitor and evaluate thesis progress for students who have not made significant advancements for more than one year.
Evaluate supervisors who have not provided guidance to their assigned students for over two months, starting from the date the supervisor was appointed by KOMBI.
Decision-Making
Assign the names of the primary supervisor and co-supervisor for thesis supervision.
Assign the names of the primary examiner and co-examiner for proposal seminars and final thesis exams.
