In the beginning of creating my ePortfolio I struggled coming up with artifacts that reflect the work I have done, but looking back I see how much I have actually completed in my time throughout college. It was really good to have the ability to reflect on the accomplishments that I have! This has helped me to form a perfect resume as well.
My process for finding the perfect artifacts for each category was by making a big list of everything that I have done and accomplished since being at UNC Charlotte. It was difficult picking which artifacts I would use for each, but in the end I did a great job of picking and choosing!
The reason that I chose to use a lot of the work I have done from my Health Systems Management courses is primarily because they display the skills that I have gained from my classwork and major. Through the essays and portfolio I have created while being apart of the Health Systems Management major, I have gained knowledge of the healthcare field and learned about different career paths I could potentially go down.
In my Introduction to Health Professions course, I learned about all of the different career paths that I could find myself taking. I learned about the field of hospital product sales and distribution and this intrigued me. When I graduate, I plan to begin working in a hospital and gain experience in the business side of it. I will eventually make my way to sales.
In conclusion, each of my artifacts was included to portray my skills. Each is included for a specific reason and has a meaning behind why.
