Technology and education are connected these days, nearly every teacher has a few favorite tools that make doing his or her work and connecting with students a little easier. Use them, enjoy them. Whether low tech (a chalkboard) or high tech (a 3-D interactive visualization), a tool’s learning benefits depend on when, where, how, and why you use it.
This year we will work on 9/10 topics that are always present in Science Primary. There will be 9/10 groups each one will work on one of the topics. All your works will be about your topic and you'll share it with the whole class. Everyone works for all their classmates, so learning about the other subjects, methodologies and tools is easier.
Groups will be of 4 people. Write your emails in groups in this spreadsheet
In your portfolio there must be the following pages:
1-Introduction: Presentation of the group with a photograph of all the members of the group: names, surnames. Include a short paragraph with your hobbies and interests. This may be of help when assigning roles or tasks. Decide who is the group leader and the secretary. The secretary must complete the minutes book everyday.
2-Topic: diagram and presentation of your topic, test.
3-Glossary. Do your best, the glossary is what you need to study for the final test. It is also needed for the games. Details in the dropdown"Activities".
4-Questions for the final test: it will be shared with the class when it is checked and corrected. Use a table similar to this to write the questions. Mark the correct answer as in the example. The questions will be factual, conceptual, procedural and metacognitive.
5-Web Tool. Description of an Educational Web Tool. Details in the dropdown"Activities".
6-Big idea+ Flipped Classroom: The flipped classroom didactic unit with different resources and activities.
7-Minutes book: there is a page in your portfolio you have to complete every class. The secretary or a second secretary will do it everyday.
Try to organize the information the best you can, so everything is easy to read. The order in activities IS IMPORTANT. You can edit as many times as you need to have a good final product.
The dates for assessment can be found in each page in the dropdown menu, as well as in the calendar .
We will use Drive to upload our works. Watch the video to see how to do it.
