The Anthropocene Reviewed:
Introduction:
He talked about a memoir when Sarah said that when people write reviews, really what they are writing is a memoir.
Research comes up a lot of times in this essay, but one that stood out to me was when he was having a conversation with his brother about the word Anthropocene and the meaning of it. His brother explained it to him, he did research on the word.
John Green really shared a lot of his personal life. He talked about recovering from labyrinthitis, and how that effected him. He reflected on his life a lot of this passage.
I really liked reading the Introduction I feel like it gave me an idea of "Anthropocene"
Lascaux Cave Paintings:
"I am extremely happy that my children are no longer three, and yet to look at their little hands from those early artworks is to be inundated with a strange, soul-splitting joy."
The story of how they the caves were discovered. And the boys who made the discoveries story.
The passage was connected Anthropocene to the connection between humans, and the idea of connecting with them.
I think that this passage was very interesting he compared cave paintings to his kids art work. Some of this changed but also a lot of it hasn't changed.
Scratch 'N' Sniff Stickers:
In this passage he added a memoir about himself. How when he was younger he collected scratch 'n' sniff stickers.
He used research when he was explaining the science behind the scratch 'n' sniff stickers. And how the cent was made.
I feel he reflected on a lot. But he was reflecting on how things might smell different then they are supposed to. "But I think theres something else at play with smells that try to mimic nature, which is that nothing in the real world ever smells quite like we imagine it should."
I found this passage very interesting I remember collecting and saving the scratch 'n' sniff stickers when I was a kid because I liked them so much and thought they were so cool! I think that kept me interested.

Self-reflection memo
I feel my strongest element of my writing process was coming up with my topic. I feel like my idea was really great, because it had a lot of meaning and I felt like I could go into great detail about my topic. I think it gave more information about my character as well which is a great add on.
I really struggled with good details that I could put in there, even though I was writing about my baby blanket I feel like it was hard to come up with simple ideas to make the project a little more interesting. Coming up with the stories and information I wouldn't say I knew super well was also difficult, having to ask my parents and get information I wasn't old enough to understand yet was just another step, but I feel it made it come to life.
I feel I could have a lot of writing goals. But one that most sticks out to me is coming up with better words that may fit the situation of what I am talking about make it easier for people who read it to understand and have a image in their head of exactly what I am talking about.
One concrete thing I think I would want you to look at is, how can I go into more detail and bring out more information I may be missing or it could help the project be better. Also making sure it flows.
I would give myself a B, I think I could have spent more time on my project and gave it more effort. With that being said I think I also will give myself credit for thinking really hard about this project, I gave it a lot of thought even though I didnt write down all of the thougths I feel like I was always brainstorming what I could do to make this better.
"Metacognition is not cognition"
"While there is still much to learn about how the brain and mind work when engaged in the complex task of writing, it was evident to theorists as early as James Moffett (1968) and Ann Berthoff (1978;1981) that writing comes from full engagement of the entire writer, which is developed across many years of a developing self."
I chose this sentence because it really stood out to me. It explains that writing isn't all that easy, even back when these writers were writing. It takes a lot of ideas to make a book or even a passage so great.

Project #3 Podcast rubric
The podcast needs to be interesting to listen to and keeps our audience entertained and involved in what information we are talking about.
A good and original idea makes for a very good podcast involving the topic we are talking about and how we structured talking about it.
Podcast are usually based on your personal experience and culture and I think we both bring a lot of that to the table.
Having your own idea and not basing your information in the podcast from others.
Being able to keep up a good conversation with your partner, being able to ask the other person good questions.
