I am a huge fan of not only books, but TV shows and movies. My favorite TV shows are Grey's Anatomy, Outer Banks, and The Fosters, I also enjoy watching teen dramas. Some of my favorite movies are Another Cinderella Story, Murder by Numbers, Knives Out, and Clue. My favorite books tend to be series, I am currently reading The Walking Dead comics. My favorite series are The Hunger Games and Harry Potter (fan of the book, not the author.) I really enjoy fictional stories because I like that it takes you out of your own world and into a fantasy land. I am also a huge fan of music, I play the piano, clarinet, trumpet, and saxaphone and enjoy listening to music. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0413573/

failed. The world began to roll and spin.
Introduction: John Green incorporates Memoir into his writing when he states "A week after finishing the path, I was searching through a drawer for some ChapStick when all at once and without any warning, my balance." He incorporates research when he discusses when five star reviews started to become the popular way to review things. He incorporates reflection when he reflects on how prior to his illness he wasn't living life through reviews, and after he began to recover from his illness he started to find the joy in life and puts all of his effort into everything he does. I found this first chapter to be very interesting I liked how he went back and forth between past and present and how it all tied together. I found it very moving when he discussed his mental health as well as his physical health. I give this chapter 3.7 out of five stars.
Lascaux Cave Paintings: Memoir is portrayed in this passage by recalling seeing his son's face after tracing his hand and being shocked by the results. He uses research when he mentions that in 1940 "an eighteen year old mechanic named Marcel Ravidat was walking in the southwestern French countryside, when his dog, Robot, disappeared down a hole." He uses reflection when he discusses how the hand prints to him represent someone saying "I was here, and you are not the first." I found this review to be quite fascinating, I had never heard of this specific cave painting, and I found it fascinating that society actually decided to close it off from the public, because a lot of the time humans would just continue ruining something until there is nothing left. I give this chapter 4.3 out of 5 stars.
P1 Pre Writing:
Backyard Chickens: I am considering writing about this because I am taking a class called Backyard Chickens that is all about owning and taking care of backyard chickens.
Legos: I am considering this topic because I own dozens of lego sets, and enjoy building them and collecting sets.
Love Triangle Trope: I am considering this trope because I enjoy watching teen dramas and a major trope in television is the love triangle trope.
Multimodal Listening Response: Humanity's Temporal Rage
Part One: The premise of this episode was all about the world ending. John Green discussed the multiple times people have thought the world was gonna end and he came to the conclusion that he is going to choose to believe the world will not end and that humans will find a way to adapt. Green discussing how he was once told that predicting when the world will end is stupid because if you are correct no one will be around to pat you on your back grabbed my attention the most. I heard speaking and some music. The podcast is structure similarly to the chapters in his book, because he uses memoir, research, and reflection. I used Apple Podcasts to listen to the podcast. I did not encounter a description. I did not use a transcript. I heard an ad about coffee mugs that John Green is selling. The only image I saw was the cover for the podcast which was Anthropocene written across with ANTH on the top row, ROPO on the first middle row, CENE on the second middle row and REVIEWED in neon on the bottom row. I was in my house while listening, I sat on the couch for a bit and then made myself dinner while listening. I listened to the podcast in one sitting. I was watching Shameless prior to starting the podcast. I used my iPhone speaker to listen to it.
Part Two: I found listening to the podcast less entertaining for me because I like to be able to add my own thoughts while reading instead of having to listen to someone else. For me reading is much more personal and I enjoy it more than listening to a podcast. I had a harder time paying attention to the podcast than I do when reading. The emotions I felt while listening to the podcast were a bit of sadness, from people thinking the world was going to end, I also felt content because I agree that predicting when the world is gonna end will only cause you pain and if you are correct then all you did was predict when it will end and there is no reward, so you might as well just live life to the fullest extent. One question I have is what percent of the general population prefers each.
Self-Reflection Memo: I feel that the strongest element of my writing process was coming up with an idea to write about. Once I decided on a topic I had trouble actually writing the essay. I am proud of my use of vocabulary and how I used resources like thesaurus to come up with more interesting and descriptive words. One challenge I faced was just writing it in general. I am not much of a fan of writing so it can be difficult for me sometimes. My personal goal is to just enjoy the writing process and not view it as a chore but as a way to grow. One thing I would like your help with is deciding what is needed in my writing and what can be deleted. I tend to ramble in my writing and have run on sentences. So the ability to recognize what is needed and what is not would be very helpful. I would give myself a B+ because there is definitely room for growth and I think I could have spent more time writing my essay and revising it.
Should I Follow My Partner to Mars?: https://www.futureadvice.club/2020/06/16/my-boyfriend-wants-to-go-to-mars/
I found this episode of the podcast to be interesting, right away I couldn't tell if the question was a joke or not but as the podcast went on and they explained certain things it became clear that it was a real question. I liked there take on thinking about if the couples goals are the same. I agree with what Rose said "there are two types of people in this world, people that want to save the Earth and people who are ready to give up and move planets." I personally find the whole idea of moving to another planet quite ridiculous, given that I don't think there is a large enough population that would want to go let alone have a way to get there. I think that people should focus on saving the Earth and not spend so much time trying to figure out how to leave the Earth. I also had no idea it took so long to get to Mars, it takes roughly 210-300 days to get to Mars. Which is an insane trip, I feel like I would get sick of going there and by the time I reached Mars I would be ready to go home. There weren't very many sources for this episode, they did commission two people to make a remake of a song, Shannon and Scott from the podcast Song Salad, remixed Area Codes by Ludacris to be about planets. Rose also brought in Andrea Silenzi to discuss relationship advice, given that she has a podcast about relationships advice, and stated she considers herself to be a dating expert.
Metacognition is not Cognition: "In the end, while cognition remains critical to effective writing, it is metacognition that endows writers with a certain control over their work, regardless of the situation in which they operate." I chose this sentence because I like how it describes the relationship to writers and it makes the concept easier to understand. I think it is very important to be able to discern what parts of your writing are needed and what can be cut out, I sometimes forget that that is a part of writing. But it is a very important part that can either make or break your writing.
Project 2 Portfolio:
What is the future of writing in relation to artificial intelligence?: My research is about the future of writing, whether that be essays or screen writing. This question is worth asking because there are many students who use AI to better their essays and there are a multitude of writers who use AI to write stories. The future of screen writing especially could be in danger because many media companies don't want to pay screen writers the amount of money they deserve. So they in turn may look for other ways to produce content.

This article starts off by comparing the introduction of stethoscopes into the medical community, and how doctors shamed the doctors that would use the stethoscope and thought they were a threat to the medical community. However, as we know today that is the main technology used to listen to breathing and the heart, showing that as technology develops you either have to get on the train or you will be left behind. The article then goes on to explain why AI hasn't been used to write large things, because the technology does not allow it to remember enough information all at once. Which makes it difficult for the AI to write large papers with lots of information in them. The article then goes onto discuss the WGA strike, which ended with an agreement that states that AI cannot be used to write full scripts autonomously. Meaning that it can only assist writers, and cannot write the entire script itself. The agreement also states that the usage of AI must be disclosed. It also states that companies cannot use writers works to train the AI without the consent of the authors. The article ends by stating that AI will not replace writers, but writer that use AI will replace writers that don't, similar to how doctors that used stethoscopes replaced the ones that didn't.

This podcast is made by a writer who recently wrote a book about the usage of AI in writing. They discuss the multitude of AI resources that continue to grow. They state that the usage of AI in writing can be a good tool. They state that it is exciting to think about the new artistic forms AI can bring to writing. They however say that given that they are a writer they do have some concerns about AI taking over, given that it can produce stories faster than humans. They state that while AI will not make human writers obsolete there is definitely money in AI. They state that scammers will probably become the real issue, not AI. They worry that scammers that plagiarize current stories by changing them a little bit, will become the real issue and will try to publish books. This will lead to law suits and will be a negative impact on the writing community.

I am going to interview my sister because she is attending college to get a creative writing degree, and specifically wants to work in screen writing. So I am going to ask her what her opinion on the usage of AI in writing is, and will also give her a prompt to write a short story, and use the same prompt and put it into ChatGPT, and compare the two. I may have her not share which story is hers and see if I can tell. This will help discover if the usage of AI helps or hurts the writing of humans. The interview will be in a question and answer format.
After conducting my interview and having Anna write a short story with the prompt "write a story about a man named Steve Pollhound, he lives in Florida and as a pet of your choice, make it 300 words." Story number one is Anna's and story two is written by ChatGPT. After reading both stories I was easily able to tell whose was who's given that story two basically combined two different stories, showing that it was unable to get to the word limit and had to add more but was unable to continue with the first story. Story one was also way better, it used more descriptive words and was easy to picture. And it had a very creepy ending, which gave it more emotion than the ChatGPT's.
