Residency is hard. Really hard.

We'd love to help you take time and find healthy ways to take care of yourself.

Tips for making appointments!

We understand that appointments are difficult, near impossible, to schedule in the demanding work hours of residency. As much as possible, we want to partner with you to ensure that your health care needs are met.

  • Please let the site chief know with as much advance notice as possible (minimum 72h) in order to plan for coverage.

    • Med-Peds residents should also notify the MP Chief.

  • If you’re going to miss more than half of your assigned shift, you will be charged PTO.

  • If possible, try to schedule your appointments later in the day and on short call days.

  • If you know that you’ll have recurring appointments, partner with the chiefs to create a supportive schedule for you.
