Logging Into CoursEval with a Non-UofM Email Address
Faculty Instructions
If you do not have a UofM email address, you will need to create a password in order to log into CoursEval to view and download student evaluation of faculty data.
In order to create a faculty account in CoursEval, we need an instructor's full name and email address. In most cases, this information is shared with us by Course directors or course managers during the planning phase of the course evaluation process, so most faculty will already have their account set up when they try to log in. If you try to log in using your email address and the system does not find an account for you, first try any other email addresses you have, as a different email address may have been shared. Additionally, try searching your email for the account setup email described below. If you still can’t find your account, please email us at med-eval@umn.edu.
For these example instructions, a faculty account was created for:
First Name: Eric
Last Name: Test
Email: elaplant74@elaphant.net
Username: elaplant74
When a faculty account is created for a non-UofM email, CoursEval generates an account setup email, which is sent to the email address connected to the faculty account. Click on the Set My Password button and follow the steps for creating a password that appear on the page. An example of the email is below.
As noted in the email, the link is only active for 90 minutes. If you need a fresh link, follow the steps detailed below under the heading Forgot username or password link.
When you click on the Set My Password you will be asked to create a password with typical requirements (i.e. it must be 8 characters long, include letters, numbers, and special symbols, etc.) After creating a password, you will receive a confirmation email like the example below.
To log in, click on the Link to Site at the bottom of the email, or go to: https://med-courseval.umn.edu/etw/ets/et.asp?nxappid=WCQ&nxmid=start&li=r
Enter your username and newly created password on the login page and you will be brought to the CoursEval home page.
If you forgot your password or missed the initial setup window, you can click the Forgot username or password on the login page and go through the account recovery process. You will need your email address or username that is on file in order to work through this process.
This will trigger an account recovery email to be sent to you. Click the Reset My Password button and follow the steps detailed on the page that appears.
