Most instructors recognize that opportunities for peer response can help students to improve the quality of their writing, but may be reluctant to commit class time and preparation time to building effective peer response activities. How can peer response strategies be implemented in ways that generate meaningful feedback without tremendous time and resource commitments?
This 90-minute workshop will focus on the development of effective peer response activities, including the design of instructions, peer review rubrics, and supplemental documents like revision memos. Instructors are encouraged to bring their course syllabi and assignments.
Facilitated by Daniel Emery (Writing Across the Curriculum).
Audience: Faculty, instructors, and teaching assistants
