Pre-Work

Preparing for your Fall term coursework starts with an understanding of what will be asked of you in those first several weeks. Course work will focus on qualitative and quantitative concepts over two terms in the Fall semester.  It will also include working together as a team, team management and prioritization. Specifically, students should have a working knowledge of the following: 

• Arithmetic and algebra

• Solving equations with one variable and two variables

• Percentages and ratios

• Graphing lines and y=mx+b

• Order of operations (PEMDAS) for math

To learn these foundational concepts you may use the following resources to focus on reviewing the basic math concepts shared above to be successful in your courses:

• To learn these foundational concepts you may use Khan Academy or YouTube to focus on the basic math concepts shared above to be successful in courses.  

• Additionally, for a deeper dive, you may also consider Kaplan's Business Fundamentals courses. These courses will delve into the more complex topics covered in the core and provide you a strong start.
