All mail and packages are stored in the departmental mail room in Hodson 219A.
Incoming letter mail is placed in departmental mailboxes.
All faculty have an individual mailbox, as well as a [Last Name] Lab mailbox for their researchers/staff

Incoming packages are placed on the package-receiving table in the mail room.
Packages are delivered by mail carriers to the UMarket warehouse on campus. If you get a notification from the supplier or shipping company that your package has been delivered, it will take ~24 hours for it to be delivered to Hodson Hall.
If you need a package rushed from the warehouse to Hodson Hall, email the package tracking number to ums@umn.edu and they will add it to their watchlist
Stamped letters and small packages can be shipped by putting them in the USPS drop-box outside of Borlaug Hall.

Campus mail allows you to send letter and packages to another person at the university without postage.

Shipping a FedEx Package
To ship the package, a PI or lab representative must take it to a FedEx location. Due to building access limitations, the department is not able to schedule package pick-up.

The Department of Entomology and the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology both have access to Hodson 224.
Anyone can reserve Hodson 224 through its Google Calendar.
Create a new Google Calendar event. Add all the details
Click on "Room" and type "Hodson" for HodsonH-224 ENT to appear
Save your event. It should pop up on the Hodson 224 Google Calendar
In case of fire or health and safety emergencies, call 911.
For building emergencies (standing water, substantial leaks, exposed wiring), call Facilities Management at 612-624-2900. Then, report the issue to the Office Specialist.
Report non-emergencies or maintenance requests (including the location's room number) to entodept@umn.edu and the Office Specialist will work with Facilities Management to resolve them.
Office staff in Hodson 219 can assist with lock-outs during business hours.
